I really wanted a blue 2019-2020, but I don’t think that’s in the cards for where I live. The 2019+ has the updated infotainment, which I crave a good one as I do UI for a living. White, grey, and black are the colors for those years that seems to have a current deals. I’ve narrowed it down to a w hite 2020, of which I’ve just started talks with 2 dealerships today about theirs. All the cool bits of the ZR2 blend in to the gray and black colors.
The issue of getting a truck has been moved forward thanks to adopting this guy on Friday. He’s a mix between a border collie and a black lab, if you’re wondering . He’s very smart, already the best trained dog I’ve met, and loves the water.
I know, you don’t need a truck to take care of a dog, but it just makes life better; plus we need something to haul around our kayaks we don’t yet have, drive about offroad, and eventually drive to Alaska.
We took a short hike at the top of the ridge yesterday and smelled all the fires; thankfully it’s cleared up here today.

Congrats on your very handsome dog. A mix like that will love getting lots of exercise and hopefully you get the energy of the border collie and the sweetness of the lab w/o any insanities that can pop up in those breeds.
The zr2 is a sweet truck, i see a lot of them here in the CO/UT border.

You know, I keep thinking about Rams to replace my truck in a year or two, but I really should look at Colorados too. I don’t have any real dislike of them.

Ram Rebels look really cool on the road, but I like the smaller size and cheaper price of the Colorado . It’s definitely due for a model refresh though.

Thanks! We’re planning on running him in the mornings and doing big hikes on weekends. He’s a sweetheart so far.

Yeah, refresh should be coming soon I would think.
Size doesn’t bother me, really. I’ve gotten used to my F-150. I’m still leaning towards a Hemi Ram, but I’ll consider a Ranger and a Colorado.

I’d definitely be into the Ranger Raptor if they sold it here. I saw the offroad packages that Ford’s selling from the factory, but I can’t seem to look a those knowing the Ranger Raptor exists overseas.

Good luck! I love my 2019 Canyon, it’s a solid truck platform in even my modest spec so I’m sure a ZR2 is an excellent choice ! The 2019+ infotainment upgrade is entirely worth it, plus you also get an HD digital backup camera which is way nicer than the older analog cameras and a host of other small but nice upgrades .

Please get a Blue truck...they look so good!

Agreed. Find me a new 2019-2020 near WA state; I can’t seem to.

I owned a manual 4-cyl 2016 Colorado for like 6 months before I moved. It was basic, but I generally liked it. The backup camera did suck, and the shorter cab was a disservice to anyone with legs.
I test drove a V6 ZR2 twice before I moved and am quite sold; backup camera was way better (with guide lines!) and there’s a huge amount of space in the back for a “small” truck . I don’t get what’s so great about the diesel , probably because I’m not a big tow- er. I drove it off a curb and over a median durning the test drive (on purpose) and it didn’t seem to think there was anything of significance underneath it!

Where do you live? I was checking autotrader a couple days ago and they had a white 2020 for about 10k off on the west side of Wa?

Yeah, I’m looking at a couple white ones near Seattle area. $10k off though is with discounts nobody fully applies for.

You should put graphics form the S-10 Baja on it.
And a light bar, of course.

Awesome! It’s a great truck, just the right size, locking front / rear / transfer case, 4x4 high/ low, AWD, fuel efficient for a mid size truck. Seats are comfy too.
Shock absorbers are overbuilt and should last the lifetime of the truck. I love going over rail road tracks and its smooth as butter while everyone else is slowing down.
